Question Time: Mastering Live Webcasts

On the 28 July, InSitu orchestrated one of our largest events; a mult-camera webcast for Johnson&Johnson, streaming live to hundreds of medical professionals in the format of a hosted, panel show.

Happily the event went supremely well; a succesful marriage of professional media production and solid project management. The right tools, people and skills were secured from the start, all with adaquate time for deployment.

Looking back over the event, we can confidently say that we exceeded last year's original webcast. We've learnt a lot following 2010, and our new skills and technology were in evidence on the night. Taking ample time to ensure everything was in place for the webcast and being involved in the creative process were vital in the build-up to the event.

In the interests of sharing our knowledge and experience about these types of events we're currently creating a guide to producing multicamera webcats, which will be up on our blog shortly.
